On Oct. 20, 2021, CBCDC had its first annual board meeting as part of our strategic plan. We invited our partners and supporters to come and see all the positive outcomes from each of our programs.

Each of our divisions provided a presentation of all the amazing things they have accomplished as well as plans for 2022 and the abandoned church on 10th & Lombard. View the PowerPoint presentation from the evening click the link below.

We were grateful to receive $541,000 to renovate the abandoned church to become a community anchor for the Eastside by the Delaware Assembly Bond Bill Committee and were presented this check by Sen. Darius Brown and Sen. Elizabeth “Tizzy” Lockman.

We also had Rev. Donna Lawerence Jones as our Keynote Speaker. Rev. Jones is the Pastor of Cookman Beloved Community Baptist Church and she is the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Christian Council. Rev. Jones’ address is titled “Faith-Based Community Development Corporations for the 21st Century”
